Proverbs 8:33-36
Isaiah 66:18-21
Philippians 4:1-7
Luke 9:1-6
Proverbs 8:33-36
[33] Hear instruction and be wise,
and do not neglect it.
[34] Happy is the man who listens to me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting beside my doors.
[35] For he who finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the LORD;
[36] but he who misses me injures himself;
all who hate me love death.”
Isaiah 66:18-21
[18] “For I know their works and their thoughts, and I am coming to gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and shall see my glory,
[19] and I will set a sign among them. And from them I will send survivors to the nations, to Tarshish, Put, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off, that have not heard my fame or seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
[20] And they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as an offering to the LORD, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, just as the Israelites bring their cereal offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD.
[21] And some of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says the LORD.
Philippians 4:1-7
[1] Therefore, my brethren, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.
[2] I entreat Eu-o’dia and I entreat Syn’tyche to agree in the Lord.
[3] And I ask you also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
[4] Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
[5] Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand.
[6] Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
[7] And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Luke 9:1-6
[1] And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,
[2] and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal.
[3] And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.
[4] And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.
[5] And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
[6] And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
