Proverbs 14:1-6
[1] Wisdom builds her house,
but folly with her own hands tears it down.
[2] He who walks in uprightness fears the LORD,
but he who is devious in his ways despises him.
[3] The talk of a fool is a rod for his back,
but the lips of the wise will preserve them.
[4] Where there are no oxen, there is no grain;
but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.
[5] A faithful witness does not lie,
but a false witness breathes out lies.
[6] A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain,
but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.
Zechariah 8:4-5
[4] Thus says the LORD of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand for very age.
[5] And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.
Isaiah 60:8-9
[8] Who are these that fly like a cloud,
and like doves to their windows?
[9] For the coastlands shall wait for me,
the ships of Tarshish first,
to bring your sons from far,
their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the LORD your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel,
because he has glorified you.
Hebrews 2:14-18
[14] Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
[15] and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong bondage.
[16] For surely it is not with angels that he is concerned but with the descendants of Abraham.
[17] Therefore he had to be made like his brethren in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make expiation for the sins of the people.
[18] For because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
Luke 9:44-48
[44] “Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men.”
[45] But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
[46] And an argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest.
[47] But when Jesus perceived the thought of their hearts, he took a child and put him by his side,
[48] and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me; for he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”
