Collect your supplies. You’ll need: paper plates, black construction paper, cotton balls, googly eyes, glue, and scissors.
Assist your Little Saint with lightly covering the entire paper plate with glue. Then have your Little Saint use the cotton balls to fully cover their paper plate.
While your Little Saint is working, cut out an oval shaped head, ears and legs. Have your Little Saint affix the legs to the back of the paper plate and glue the ears to the back of the head. Next glue the head to the center of the plate on top of the cotton balls. Finally, glue on the googly eyes.
Together as a family, read Matthew 18:10-14 on the Parable of the Lost Sheep, and reflect on how we find hope in Christ, who never lets us wander far away and is always with us.
Little Saints is a ministry geared toward children from Baptism to age four. The program helps families connect and develop relationships in the parish community before their child enters Sunday School.
The monthly ministry is a one-hour program which includes open play, an art project, a circle time lesson led by the parish pastor, and a “church connection” trip into the sanctuary for a hands-on lesson.
