The Culture Of Heavenly Citizens

Peace has become the defining characteristic of the citizens of the heavenly kingdom. Our new civilization is evident in the light of justice, the resurrection of eternal life, and the ultimate happiness of knowing God.

The light of justice is the source of wisdom for the citizens of heaven. Our wisdom doesn’t originate from human intellect; instead, our intellect serves as a recipient of this divine wisdom. Through the power of this wisdom, our capacity is enhanced by the infinite perfection of divine justice.

The light of justice transforms our entire nature. Our physical existence will never dwell in darkness, for the source of this light is God. Through our new civilization, God fills the entire creation with the light of justice.

Our daily prayer connects us to our faith, our power source, and fills our eyes with God’s abundant vision. It empowers us with his Spirit of wisdom, enabling us to build his home within us through the real and life-giving presence of his justice. With the Holy Spirit of wisdom, our minds and understanding expand to the limitless divine measure, reaching the perfection of mercy and compassion (1 Kings 4:29).

The sun of divine justice will rise daily from our temple, illuminating all around us with divine favor. Our Lord Jesus will bring about the resurrection of eternal life through the rays of hope radiating from us, fulfilling the prophecy of Hosea. God will betroth us to Himself, and His Holy Spirit will guide us on the path of truth (John 16.13).

The knowledge of truth will not only perfect us but also fill us with the joy of God’s presence. Let us cherish the immense privilege of our heavenly citizenship and recognize the sublime excellence of divine adoption. As St. Augustine succinctly and beautifully expressed, “O God, who are always the same, may I come to know myself and come to know you.” (Soliloquies, Book 2.1).

Let us discover ourselves beyond the confines of Socratic philosophy, embracing the supernatural call of our divine citizenship. We must accept Christ’s invitation and, in true discipleship, spread the light of divine justice through our deeds and mercy. By doing so, we will become just children of the Just Father (as depicted in John 17.25). Our works will glorify God, and through the power of Jesus’ prayer (as expressed in John 17.4–5), we will complete the salvation of our Heavenly Father.

May the peace of the Heavenly Father be with you always.
