Proverbs 31:29-31
Isaiah 61:10-62:3
Romans 15:30-16:2
Matthew 10:26-33
Proverbs 31:29-31
[29] “Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
[30] Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
[31] Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
Isaiah 61:10-62:3
[10] I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
my soul shall exult in my God;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
[11] For as the earth brings forth its shoots,
and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring up,
so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise
to spring forth before all the nations.
Chapter 62
[1] For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
until her vindication goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.
[2] The nations shall see your vindication,
and all the kings your glory;
and you shall be called by a new name
which the mouth of the LORD will give.
[3] You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Romans 15:30-16:2
[30] I appeal to you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf,
[31] that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,
[32] so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
[33] The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Chapter 16
[1] I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the church at Cen’chre-ae,
[2] that you may receive her in the Lord as befits the saints, and help her in whatever she may require from you, for she has been a helper of many and of myself as well.
Matthew 10:26-33
[26] “So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
[27] What I tell you in the dark, utter in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim upon the housetops.
[28] And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
[29] Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s will.
[30] But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
[31] Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
[32] So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven;
[33] but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
